Canadian Race towards Cannabis Legalization
Cannabis legalization in Canada for recreational use was long sought after, especially post approval of its medical usage in 2001. Now that the Trudeau government has introduced the bill, every alternate day some or other news mark the opening of daily tabloid.
While it allows the sale of dried marijuana, marijuana seeds and oil besides marijuana products to 18 and over, state jurisdiction will have the authority to increase the age.
Upto 4 marijuana plants would be allowed to be grown at home with the growth not exceeding one meter in height.
The bill also outlines other directives for tax regulation, marijuana possession for both travelers and locals.
In Canada, marijuana seems to be in news, perhaps the most talked off topic these days. See this infographic how events and activities are unfolding ahead July next year.
